JJ Syros | sea | restaurant, is a personal project of a restaurant based in my favorite Greek island Syros. The business belongs to two local chefs John Xanthakis and John Roussos. In 2021 they came across the economic opportunity to open their dream restaurant, in Ano Syros.

I created JJ logo from the first letter of their names John. It was a paradox to have the same name and it was an opportunity to give them their personal identity. I placed them opposite to create a symbol that imitates a table and the bottom of J as a wave in a minimalistic way.

I chose a sans serif typeface for the logotype on this design, as the business represents a classy and modern style.
As obvious as it is the blue palette was a must. Peaceful and secure. I chose a darker grayish blue as a more modern and minimal colour and not the casual aegean blue.
